Patient Engagement Vital to Success in Specialty Pharmacy

September 12, 2016

The University of Pittsburgh Master of Science in Pharmacy Business Administration (MSPBA) congratulates John Meehan for his second Specialty Pharmacy Times publication titled, “Patient Engagement Vital to Success in Specialty Pharmacy”.  John’s article explores the need for specialty pharmacies to view both prescribers and patients equally as customers. The key to sustainability for  specialty pharmacies requires them to develop painless processes for accessibility by their customers.

John Meehan earned his PharmD degree from Duquesne University in 2010. John worked in retail pharmacy in rural North Carolina before transitioning to a clinical pharmacist position at Chartwell PA in Pittsburgh, PA. John is currently enrolled in the Masters of Science in Pharmacy Business Administration (MSPBA) program at the University of Pittsburgh, a 12-month, executive-style graduate education program designed for working professionals striving to be tomorrow’s leaders in the business of medicines.
